Set Your Intentions When you wake up in the morning there is most likely some sort of routine that you go through. Maybe it is coffee/tea or water with lemon and then checking message, making and eating breakfast etc. Of course, it will change somewhat depending on the day or circumstances, however, the actions are usually planned and with an end goal in mind. What if all your actions were like that every day? Everything was an intentional and deliberate act with a clear outcome to be realized. Try to set your intentions for the day as soon as you wake up. What are you goals for the day? Think about your objectives and then decide to accomplish them. Live each day with a purpose in mind. It does not have to be a monumental happening. Setting you intentions means to give yourself the power to create a meaning day, month, year... SMALL TASK: CLEAN YOUR DISHWASHER FILTER. It is easier than you think. Every dishwasher is different, so look up your model online or reference the booklet that came with it if you still have it. This task most likely does not require any tools at all. The filter is generally easily accessible. You may be surprised at how dirty it is even if your dishes look clean. Give it a good washing and make sure any build up of food and detergent is gone. Take a good look at the bottom of the dishwasher now that it is exposed and clean that too. It is a bit of a gross job, but a very satisfying one. SMILE MAKER: VOLUNTEER. Not just a monetary donation but give the gift of your time and you will find it is also the greatest gift you can give yourself. If you are in California, this is an exceptional link to direct you to places that need your help right now. https://www.californiavolunteers.ca.gov This website has links to Food Banks and Shelters, Blood Banks, and Meal Delivery for Seniors. These organizations do such wonderful work for others in need all year round and are always looking for volunteers with a kind heart and a willing spirit. Consider making this a part of life. Maybe it is a once a week or a once a month commitment. Be someone that a non-profit organization can count on and, in turn, you will feel tremendous joy in your heart. You can also do something on your own for a neighbor or friend that could really use your help. Bring them food, run an errand for them or even just stop by for a little conversation. Your services are much needed, always wanted and will be greatly appreciated.
