Push harder today if you want a different tomorrow
Start every day with the attitude that it is a new day, and, in some way, it will be an enhanced yesterday. Recognize what you could have done better the day before and relish in the moments where you hit the mark squarely on the head. Take all the nuggets you can out of each day in order to be prepared for the next day. Tomorrow. Don’t ever make the same mistake twice. Be more motivated, inspired and choose to excel with every action you take. Exercise for 10 minutes more than you did yesterday or make that phone call that you have been putting off for some time. Do all you can today to make the tomorrow exactly what you want. If you live your life this way, and each tomorrow is better, think of the possibilities. You are living your life to Be Your Best You!
SMALL TASK: TOUCH UP PAINT. This is a very gratifying one. Do as many rooms as you have paint for and time to do. Shake up the can, stir and grab a small touch up paint brush and go! Dab all the nicks, holes and scuffs. Doing the base boards is great too! The vacuum marks up those all the time. Get the caulk for those bigger holes and really do the job right. Take 30 minutes or an hour at most. You’ll really feel like you’ve accomplished something and will notice the results every time you walk in the room.
SMILE MAKER: OPEN A DOOR FOR SOMEONE. Sometime this week, wait an extra minute at an entrance or exit and hold the door for someone. Be the one with the wipe and/or the gloves to open the door safely. When you open it, stand as far away as you can, but close enough for you to interact. Say Hi! Ask how their day is! Comment positively on what they are wearing or that they have a nice smile! Take this time to have a one on one with a stranger or someone you may know. Especially at this time in the world when we all have limited interaction with people, a smile will go an extra-long way in making someone feel good. This simple exchange will change your day and their day. It will also continue to positively affect all those people that each of you interact with and so on and so on. It is a ripple of joy to be touched by someone in a positive way. I believe even a simple smile can change someone’s day and, in turn, the course of their life. Do that and more this week and let me know how that makes you feel.
